PRESENTING: See who won big at the first-ever BurlingtonToday Community Builders Awards

Outstanding Burlington residents were honoured at first annual Community Builders Awards

BurlingtonToday celebrated the winners of the first annual Community Builders Awards on Thursday.

This awards program is designed to recognize outstanding individuals and groups who help make Burlington a better place to work, live and play.

Congratulations to our 2025 winners:

  • Education award — Paul Barna
  • Health Care award — Purses with a Purpose
  • Legacy award — Jayne Anne Hounslow
  • Sports and Recreation award — Kids Play Sports
  • Unsung Hero award — Mary Dilly

BurlingtonToday will be running feature articles on each of the winners over the next week to highlight their incredible accomplishments within our community.

We would like to express gratitude to everyone who took the time to fill out a nomination package. Without your support, we would not be able to honour these deserving winners.

We would also like to thank the recipients of these awards for their tremendous contributions to our community. Your vision, creativity, spirit and hard work has made a positive and lasting impact on our city.
